Sky Diving

Sky Diving or Parachuting, when a parachute or FAF (Free Accelerated Fall) is utilized, is an extreme sport when the athlete has control of his speed during his fall. This sport has its own faithful fans in Greece and quite a few clubs  all  over Greece.

There are quite a few places where a person can attempt sky diving or parachuting, but the most popular sites are situated around Thessaloniki, Lamia and Thiva.

Initial training in Greece lasts three days and includes theoretical and practical instruction, as well as the first jump. For the first few jumps the parachute opens automatically, and then the novice learns how to open his main ‘chute himself.
